8-bit font. It is not a Unicode font and is unsuitable for use on Internet web pages. It may be useful for internal
documents or those to be exchanged with others who own the same font.

The Mac Symbol font and the MS Symbol font in Windows have the same characters in the ASCII range (lower 128), but in the upper 128, there are significant differences. There is a test page on the web detailing the characters shared in common.
