Verus led a Parthian war from A.D. 162 to 166 with great success (but little effort on his part, according to some historians). On his return to Rome he shared his triumph with Aurelius.
TR P refers to the tribune power of the emperor, and indicates the year. It may appear on the obverse or reverse. Dating can also be done from consulships (COS) and imperatorial acclamations (IMP):
